Cathryn Cushner Edelstein, M.A. Speech Communication (New York University), B.S. Speech Pathology and Audiology (Boston University), Faculty Coordinator for the Institute on Activism (Team Harmony); Faculty Director of the Paris Global Pathways Program. A Senior Executive-in-Residence teaching at Emerson College full-time for fifteen years, Cathryn is the founding director of the Nonprofit Communication Management Program at Emerson College which provides experiential collaboration between students and nonprofit organizations; students plan, create, and execute cause campaigns.

This course offering will focus on strategies and activities that can be utilized to bring diverse groups together to dialogue and foster an atmosphere of better understanding. To achieve change, it is necessary to understand the values and beliefs of people that hold different ideologies so that the messages created are received and understood with the intention desired.
