TEAM HARMONY AWARDS: Recognizing youth who promote social justice and racial harmony.

CALL for NOMINATIONS

The Team Harmony Award will honor young people who have initiated efforts to reject racial prejudice, and hate of all kinds, and promote social justice in their communities. Awards will be presented on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Team Harmony Global Youth Rally Against Hate in Boston and Atlanta where thousands of students will take a stand against bigotry, prejudice, and all forms of hate.

TEAM HARMONY 2020 UPDATE: Issue No. 2

Team Harmony Taking Root in Atlanta!

The Carter Center hosted two meetings of community leaders in preparation for the Tuesday, October 20th Team Harmony Global Youth Rally Against Hate. Over 20 local leaders attended the meetings and have offered programming ideas and speaker suggestions for the event. Amongst the attendees were representatives from local social justice organizations, Congressman John Lewis’s Office and the Harlem Globetrotters; Representatives from The Rendon Group presented on the history of Team Harmony and the vision for Team Harmony 2020.

TEAM HARMONY 2020 UPDATE Issue No. 1

On Saturday, January 18th the initial meeting of the Team Harmony Youth Advisory Council took place at Ostiguy Recovery School in downtown Boston. Over 20 students from throughout Massachusetts met to share their ideas and suggestions for the Team Harmony 2020 program. The students discussed program content and messaging, as well as providing their suggestions as to ideal presenters and performers for the event. The Student Advisory Council will continue to provide input into the development of the campaign in the months leading up to the event.
